Drupøn Khenpo Lodro Namgyal afsluttede i 1991 sin uddannelse ved "Nalanda Institute"-universitetet i Rumtek, Sikkim. Ved den lejlighed
blev han udnævnt til Khenpo (akademisk uddannet lama) ved universitetet og underviste der i to år. I 1997 fuldførte han en traditionel 3-års Mahamudra-tilbagetrækning i Pullahari under Khenpo Tsultrim Gyamtso Rinpoche. Khenpo Rinpoche udnævnte ham derefter som assisterende leder af tilbagetrækningscenteret i Pullahari, og tildelte ham titlen Drupøn Khenpo for derved at anerkende hans erfaring og færdighed, både indenfor meditation og indenfor boglig lærdom.
Short Biography:
Drupon Khenpo Lodro Namgyal graduated from Nalanda Institute in Rumtek, Sikkim, in 1991. Upon his graduation, he was appointed a Khenpo at the Institute and taught there for two years. In 1997, he completed the traditional 3-year Mahamudra retreat in Pullahari under Khenpo Tsultrim Rinpoche who then appointed him the assistant retreat master at Pullahari and conferred on him the title of Drupon Khenpo in recognition of his accomplishment as a practitioner and scholar. Today is resides in Pullahari and is also personal tutor to  H.E. Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche the Fourth.
